This is in my days in College to the UCC (aka University College Cork, Ireland) when I, with my pal colleague who remained with me, decided to have a short excursion.
Thus, it was decided that we will spend our weekend approaching to Dublin, which is just 250 km from Cork and train service takes 2 to 3 hours.
We took h 06 pm on that train approaching Saturday morning and we have reached Dublin Heuston by 9: 15 hours.
Dublin Heuston, commonly known by Heuston Station is Dublin's major train station and is located in the path of the St.John.Dublin (Baile ?tha Cliath in Irish) is the capital of Ireland, probably the largest city in Ireland.
The hotel as we reserved was called Ashling Hotel is located near the center of ville.Moment was not much for to move us our slow way tours plans. Therefore, we decided to refresh a bit, take our breakfast at the hotel and start our view see Tower.
We started with the Group of Guinness. A storied seven building, the heart of which is modeled on a glass of giant Pinte, extending up to reception on the ground floor The Gravity Bar in the sky from which we appreciated the views of the entire city.
Next, we visited oldest University of Trinity College, Ireland. The College buildings were architectural stature that adds to its prestigious heritage.The book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript in the 9th century Latin appears in the College Library.
Our next destination was the Dublin Castle, which was a mixture of buildings of different architectural styles.Recording Tower is the oldest part.
Then we headed to among the highest in Europe, the monument of Wellington, which is approximately 205 feet high obelisks.
Then, we choose Cafe Carlo for lunch.This is a stylish restaurant specializing in serving the delicious unique fusion of Irish cuisine & italien.Le price was reasonable and excellent quality.
After lunch, we directed towards the spire, also called the lumière.Il monument is probably more high sculpture of the Sun planète.Le shines out there during the day and that high night is turned on.
We've also watched GPO, Parnell Monument and statues of father Matthew, James Joyce and Jim Larkin.
The next day, we visited the Cathedral Christ Church, the oldest among buildings of Dublin and the Cathedral St. Patrick, who is the National Cathedral of Ireland.
Next, we visited Dublin Writers Museum which presents the life and works of famous writers of Dublin and the National Gallery of Ireland which contains a unique collection of the European and Irish paintings and sculptures.
Time was passing by and we had to prepare for the trip of retour.Après refreshment in our hotel, we took train 17: 00hrs to Heuston Station Cork and directed to Cork, carrying to mind memories of beautiful and haunting Dublin weekend.
